"The important thing to understand about P.S. 24 is that principal Ellen Devlin and her staff began with a true whole-school reform plan, dedicated to transforming the culture of the school in all its attributes:  leadership, instruction, scheduling, community involvement, and assessment.  Beyond this, they stayed the course: committing to Paideia philosophy and methodology and dedicating literally years to building the strongest possible instructional program in every room in the building."
Terry Roberts, Ph.D.

From the School Nurse

New York State has changed the grade levels mandated for physical examinations.  The mandated grades include: Pre-K, K, 2, 4, 7, and 10.  Physical examinations continue to be required for any student new to the district.  The change in the mandated physical examination provides an opportunity to follow the student's growth and development over an even distribution of time during their educational experience.
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact our school nurse, Diane Rilloraza, at (914) 376-8640.
